Milka darkmilk

We are always happy to see a new Milka chocolate bar in stores. The darkmilk confused us a bit at first glance. We thought it’s a dark chocolate bar, but actually it is a milk chocolate bar with extra cocoa and therefore it is a bit darker than normal milk chocolate and lighter than dark chocolate. Now you are confused, I guess. ;-) Okay, just try this bar and you know what I mean. By the way, there are raspberries in this German chocolate bar – yummy!

Leibniz Choco Vollmilch

The Leibniz cookie, a product by the famous German company Bahlsen, is a German treat that is very traditional. It is known for being "Leibniz Butterkeks nur echt mit 52 Zähnen = Leibniz butter cookie only real with 52 teeth" – and that is essential since the invention of the cookie in 1891 by Hermann Bahlsen until today. The 52 teeth are those little notches the cookie is surrounded with. Perhaps you start counting the teeth of your Leibniz Choco now and soon realize that it only has 46 teeth. That is because the chocolate variation is smaller than the original Leibniz butter cookie and it is smaller because it is refined by a chocolate layer that overruns the borders of the cookie. But enough counting now, the more interesting thing about this German candy is the high indulgence when you eat it. The butter cookie itself is very simple, but it is very good and I often like to eat just this sort without the chocolate. Nevertheless the chocolate is great. It’s a creamy milk chocolate that fits to the butter cookie perfectly. I feel like a kid again when I eat that traditional German candy – I’m sure you’ll like it!

Milka Tender à la Schwarzwälder Kirsch

Have you ever heard of Schwarzwälder Kirsch Torte? It’s a very special cake from the German Black Forest. It mainly consists of chocolate dough, cream and cherries. And that’s exactly what Milka put in the Tender Schwarzwälder Kirsch. The little pastry roll tastes very similar to Black Forest Cake. The name says it: Tender is absolutely tender! The combination of the ingredients fits perfectly. I love to eat tender in the afternoon together with a cup of coffee or tea.
