DANKE, ARIGATŌ, OBRIGADO, MERCI – We want to say THANK YOU to our subscribers from all around the world, and the merci Petits by the German candy company Storck are the perfect treat from Germany for doing so. We sent different treats from Storck in your previous German candy subscription boxes, so you know that this company is a guarantor for indulgence. I'm a huge fan of their merci Petits Mandel Sahne = Almond Cream. I hope you share my taste. The bite-sized treats consists of cream chocolate added by almond pieces. I love the texture which segues from creamy into crunchy. Let the merci Petits melt in your mouth and you will know what I mean.
Volles Rohr means full pipe. And that’s how this German candy looks like. The "pipe" is filled with adorable vanilla foam. The vanilla flavor is very intense. It tastes so so good, especially in combination with the gummy "pipe". The Volles Rohr come in the flavors orange, currant, strawberry and appel. The pipes are sprinkled with a sour sugar from the outside – so the outside is fruity sour and the inside vanilla like sweet – yummy! OMG, I love the company Hitschler for this German candy. By the way, this German candy is suitable for vegans.
"duplo, probably the longest praline of the world" – this is one of the most famous candy straplines we know in Germany. The original duplo bar, which is a milk chocolate and wafer bar, is available in Germany since 1964. It’s one of the most traditional German candies. Its producer is the Italian company Ferrero that has a manufacture in Frankfurt, Germany. A fine hazelnut cream is sandwiched between layers of wafers, The treat is covered in milk chocolate. Duplo has a lovely light texture, the crunchy wafers and the hazelnut cream fit together perfectly. Normally, there are 10 bars in each duplo package, but we selected the special 11 bar package for you.
This dark chocolate bar originally was invented for men. You can read "pour messieurs" on the wrapping. I don’t know why a German company uses French language for its product, probably because it sounds more noble than German language. ;) Schwarze Herrenschokolade means Black Gentlemen’s chocolate in the sense of dark chocolate for Gentlemen. It is Germany’s most popular dark chocolate. The German candy company Stollwerk invented it in 1903. So ladies – hands off! Just kidding! Everyone enjoys this candy from Germany. It’s very simple in texture and very tasty.
I guess many of you know this German candy by the German compay Storck. Werther’s Original is not only sold in Germany, but also in some places of the USA and Japan. Nevertheless, this traditional German candy had to find its way into your Candy German subscription box – at least once. Werther’s Original or Werther’s Echte, as we also call it in Germany, are caramel hard candies which were introduced to the market in 1903. They are very milky, creamy and sweet. I loved to eat them as a kid and still love them today.
This Ritter Sport bar is very special. It is a milk chocolate bar filled with whipped cocoa cream. The bar consists of 9 pieces. Those of you who are long-time members of Candy German and already received many different Ritter Sport bars, know that Ritter Sport bars normally come with smaller pieces. So why did Ritter Sport change this for the Cocoa Mousse bar? It’s a very good reason: Bigger pieces offer more space for the phenomenal cocoa mousse! If you like chocolate mousse you will love this Ritter Sport bar.
This is a milk chocolate bar filled with raisins and nuts. I really like the gooey texture of raisins in chocolate. In combination with the nuts and milk chocolate it’s very mouth-watering. The producer of your Fin Carré chocolate bar is the German chocolate company Solent Feine Schokolade. Beside the Traube-Nuss bar they have some other flavors – let us know, if you like the Traube-Nuss bar, and we will send you other Fin Carré bars in the future maybe.
We started with Merci = Thanks and we end with Vielen Dank = Many Thanks. :) In last month’s blog entry I already told you about the Cologne Carnival and the carnival parades during which candy is thrown into the crowd. These little sugar hearts are one of those candies that are thrown. They taste very sweet and smell fruity. The producer is Tise Süßwaren that is specialised in the production of carnival candy.
