Hello everyone! This month’s Candy German box is very chocolatey again. Until summer we want to send you as much chocolate products as possible. So all you chocolate enthusiasts out there, it’s time for a Candy German box now! Next month (March) there will be an Easter box again like 2016 and 2015. You can get your Easter box until March 10th. Today we let you know all about your 2017 February box and we start with a sensation…
Milka products are all very delicious, but this one is special. You can indulge in the Milka Sensations just like they are, or put them in the microwave for about 10 seconds. There is a smooth chocolate cream heart in the middle of every cookie which reminds me of Nutella and softly melts when you heat the cookies. You can read "Noch besser warm genießen" on the package. This translates into "even better when warm". The smooth cream in addition to the crunchy cookie and chocolate drops on the top is a unique taste explosion. Luckily, the Milka Sensations package I quite big. There are 6 cookies in your package.
DANKE, ARIGATŌ, תודה, OBRIGADO, GRACIAS, MERCI – We want to say THANK YOU to our subscribers from all around the world, and this merci Bourbon Vanilla bar by the German candy company Storck is the perfect treat from Germany for doing so. We had different treats from Storck in our previous German candy subscription boxes, so you know that this company is a guarantor for indulgence. Merci chocolates are always a very extraordinary treat. Not only that they are mouth-watering – they are also always very nice in appearance with a focus on high quality packaging. If you like vanilla, you will love the merci bourbon vanilla bar. There are four individually wrapped small bars in your package. The white chocolate is phenomenal – so tender, so creamy, so tasteful! There is real bourbon vanilla in the chocolate and not only vanilla aroma. You can see this because of the tiny black spots and of course you can taste it. The vanilla taste in combination with the white chocolate is just perfect. Enjoy it!
Prinzessin Feodora = Princess Feodora is a premium brand for noble German chocolate and pralines. It came into being in 1910 and owes its name to the German Princess Feodora. The first time I recognized a Feodora product as a child was because of their chocolate Katzenzungen (cat's tongues). I loved the sweet milk chocolate bars, but Feodora was always a quite expensive brand, so I only ate them during special occasions, e. g. Christmas. We are glad to present you a Feodora chocolate bar again in your monthly candy subscription box from Germany. Those of you who are long-time subscribers to Candy German had the chance to indulge in this brand before. This month we chose the Noisette bar for you. What can I say, it’s awesome. On the package you can read in English "superior milk chocolate with hazelnut nougat". I think everything is said with it, and I have to eat a piece of the bar right now.
Now I come to my absolute favorite in this month’s Candy German subscription box: The Choceur Kokosschokolade. I’m a huge coconut fan, so this treat is perfect for me. Thank you hosta, the producer of this German chocolate. There is a very delicate coconut cream in the middle of the bar surrounded by fine milk chocolate. The cream has small coconut flakes in it which makes it a bit crunchy. I can’t get enough of this chocolate. Lucky me, that it is sold in a 200 grams package – the double size of an ordinary chocolate bar! And lucky you, because now you have one of those packages! The Kokosschokolade is very rich, creamy, sweet, flavorful, and wonderful.
Either you got the Brandt Minis Vollkorn Zartbitter = whole grain dark chocolate, or the Minis Kokos = coconut. I could not decide which sort I like more. As I said before, I love coconut, but the whole grain dark chocolate variation is delicious too. Both variations mainly consist of rusk or Zwieback as we say in Germany. Are you familiar to Zwieback? I used to eat it as a kid when I was feeling sick and could not eat anything else. It is a very crunchy roasted bread which is a little sweet. I remember the German company Brandt only produced the plain original rusk sort back in the days, which was mainly eaten for breakfast, but for many years now they also entered the candy market. The Vollkorn Zartbitter Minis are glazed with dark chocolate. The rusk itself is a bit darker as the original rusk, because it is whole grain. Also it has a stronger bite, what I really enjoy. The whole grain rusk and the dark chocolate are a perfect fit. The Minis Kokos are a combination of the original plain rusk and a quite thick coconut flake glaze. On the package you can read "with extra coconut". I agree, the amount of coconut is great. It gives the whole treat an awesome flavor. Both Brandt Minis sorts are very crunchy, so it is quite loud when you eat them. I recommend not to eat your Brandt Minis at the cinema! ;-)
The brand Sarotti is known as "die Kakao Schokolade" = the cocoa chocolate. It was invented in 1852 by the German candy company Stollwerck that is located in our hometown Cologne. A brand that convinces chocolate lovers for such a long time must find its way into your monthly candy subscription box from time to time. We sent Sarotti truffles before, but this time we decided for a chocolate bar. Actually there are four small individually wrapped chocolate bars in your package. The fine dark chocolate consists of 60% cocoa. The bars are quite thin and therefore very crunchy. They are added by small pieces of forest berries what gives the chocolate an interesting note. It tastes kind of light, fruity, sour, and sweet at the same time. Did you notice the phenomenal odor of your Sarotti bar? You can even smell it through the package – yummy!
