It’s still very warm in Germany. In the beginning of this week temperatures increased again to almost 30 degrees. It was definitely too warm to send your chocolaty October box on the 15th, so we had to wait again for some days. The October box is on the way to your door now. This month you get a "chocolate only" box. But before I tell you more about your October Candy German subscription box, I am happy to announce that there will be two holiday boxes again – November and December. As you liked our German Christmas candy boxes so much in past years, we want that you have the chance to indulge in our wide selection of festive delicacies again. Therefore, if you are not a Candy German member yet, make sure to become one until November 10th!
Recently we found this very traditional German treat. Katzenzungen = cat tongues are eaten in Germany as well as other European, Asian and South American countries since the 19th century. The small chocolate bars are very thin and resemble the tongue of a cat. Either you got the milk chocolate cat tongues or the milk and white chocolate cat tongues. Both are very creamy and so delicious. The producer of this treat is the traditional German chocolate company Waldbaur which exists since 1848.
Merci chocolates by the German candy company Storck are always a very extraordinary treat in your Candy German subscription box. Not only that they are mouth-watering – they are also always very nice in appearance with a focus on high quality packaging. If you like vanilla, you will love the merci bourbon vanilla bar. There are four individually wrapped small bars in your package. The white chocolate is phenomenal – so tender, so creamy, so tasteful! There is real bourbon vanilla in the chocolate and not only vanilla aroma. You can see this because of the tiny black spots and of course you can taste it. The vanilla taste in combination with the white chocolate is just perfect. Enjoy it!
An all time favorite in your monthly candy box from Germany is Toffifee. Therefore, we put it quite often in your box. We received many many emails from you asking for more Toffifee. Here it comes. Toffifee is produced since 1973. Back then it was introduced to the market as an energy snack for business women – weird positioning, but okay… Today Toffifee is known for being the perfect family treat – everyone loves it, kids and grown-ups. I cannot imagine any Storck product that does not taste wonderful! On the package you can read: "Die Haselnuss in Caramel mit Nougatcreme und Schokolade". Mainly that is a description of this German candy. It says: The hazelnut in caramel with nougat cream and chocolate. Sounds awesome, doesn’t it? The soft and yummy caramel shell is filled harmonically with the most delicious ingredients. There is a whole hazelnut in the middle, surrounded by a smooth nougat cream. On the top there is a dot of dark chocolate icing. Those ingredients are the pure indulgence in combination. There are 15 pieces in your package, so there is enough for everyone. Enjoy it! By the way, it’s very easy to get the little treats out of the packaging. Just watch this.
I love the fact that Milka always combines their chocolate bars with other famous bars – this time it is a combination of Milka and Daim. If you like both bars separately you will like this combination even more. The creamy Milka milk chocolate and the Daim caramel taste fit together perfectly.
Here is another treat for caramel lovers. Ritter Sport always surprises with extraordinary chocolate bar ideas. This time they put caramel mousse, which is refined with slightly salted almond pieces, into a milk chocolate bar. The chocolate cubes are even bigger than those of other Ritter Sport bars so that there is more space for the Mousse. I love the combination of the sweet caramel mousse and the salty almond pieces. This German chocolate bar is so good. You have to try it and let it melt on your tongue!
We sent Nussknacker bars before in your German candy subscription box, but always the milk chocolate version. This time you get the dark chocolate Nussknacker bar. There are whole hazelnuts in this traditional German chocolate bar. The dark chocolate is very tasty and intense. In combination with the hazelnuts it is not too intense and the perfect treat for in between.
Have you ever tried chocolate filled with peppermint cream, e. g. After Eights? If not, it is time for trying it. This bar by the German chocolate brand Böhme reminds me a lot of After Eights. The difference is that this peppermint chocolate bar is much thicker than After Eights. The peppermint cream filling is very thick too and has a strong peppermint taste. I love the combination of the dark chocolate and the peppermint cream. There is natural peppermint oil in your bar. Give it a try. Perhaps the taste is unusual for your taste buds but it’s always worth it to try something new.
We hope we can satisfy your cravings for German chocolate with the October Candy German subscription box. If you want more, don’t forget to get your holiday Candy German subscription boxes – November and December. Ordering stop for the November box is November 10th, 23:59 GMT.
