Hello Candy German members! As we already told you per email, the April box will reach you later than usual, because of the COVID-19 restrictions. There are only a few customs officers that are allowed to work in times of social distancing. Therefore, everything is slower. We thank you all for your understanding and patience. Nevertheless, we would like to give you some information about the April Candy German box – we do not want to spoil the surprise, so if you want to wait, read this blog post later. The April box is a very special one, again. Some treats you may already know, some come for the first time in your German candy subscription box. By the way, the April box is the last one that comes with chocolates. From May on we will send our summer boxes again, that will only include treats that can not melt.
What do we all need in times of COVID-19? Some Glücksgefühle = feelings of happiness! We send you a whole package of happiness with the Katjes Glücksgefühle. There are small happy beetles, butterflies, hearts, mushrooms, shamrocks and horseshoes in your package that are either fruity or have a licorice flavor or are fruity and licoricy at the same time. I feel very happy when I munch on these small gummy candies – I guess you will feel the same way.
This German candy by the company Storck is one of the most popular in Germany and one of the most popular in the Candy German subscription box. We received many many emails from you asking for more Toffifee. Here it comes. Toffifee is produced since 1973. Back then it was introduced to the market as an energy snack for business women – weird positioning, but okay… Today Toffifee is known for being the perfect family treat – everyone loves it, kids and grown-ups. On the package you can read: "Die Haselnuss in Caramel mit Nougatcreme und Schokolade". Mainly this is a description of this German candy. It says: The hazelnut in caramel with nougat cream and chocolate. Sounds awesome, doesn’t it? The soft and yummy caramel shell is filled harmonically with the most delicious ingredients. There is a whole hazelnut in the middle, surrounded by a smooth nougat cream. On the top there is a dot of dark chocolate icing. Those ingredients are the pure indulgence in combination. There are 15 pieces in your package, so there is enough for everyone. Enjoy it! By the way, it’s very easy to get the little treats out of the packaging. Just watch this.
Yay Ritter Sport! I don’t know how many different Ritter Sport bars you already got in your monthly candy subscription box from Germany, but I’m sure you loved all of them. Therefore, you even get two bars this month. The first one is the Ritter Sport Marzipan bar. The marzipan paste is surrounded by dark chocolate. In my opinion marzipan and dark chocolate fit together perfectly. Try it, you will know what I mean.
This bar is one of Ritter Sport’s new spring bars. White chocolate filled with a mango and passion fruit cream – sounds very sweet, doesn’t ist? Actually this chocolate bar is not as sweet as I expected it to be. Instead, it is very fruity. The mango and passion fruit flavor is very dominant. Combined with the creamy white chocolate this is a very delicious new Ritter Sport sort. Let us know what you think!
VIVANI is an organic German chocolate brand that never found its way into the Candy German subscription box before. The company is known for being sustainable and fair and for its delicious chocolate products. Have a look at their website vivani.de. It is very beautifully and artfully designed. Your VIVANI bar contains 75% cacao from Panama. What is special is, that it is not sweetened with ordinary sugar, but with coconut blossom sugar – and you taste this! Coconut blossom sugar has a very special sweetness, it’s kind of mild and caramely. The whole bar has a very mild and creamy taste. It is not bitter at all, as one could expect when you read 75% cacao. I love to let a small piece of this bar melt on my tongue – so good! Please also read the information in the bar’s packaging. There you can read that your chocolate was produced carbon neutral, that the foil is compostable, that VIVANI does not support child labour and much more. The VIVANI Feine Bitter bar is vegan.
Veganz is another German brand that never found its way into your monthly candy box from Germany before. As the name suggests, all Veganz products are vegan. This month you get two Veganz treats. The first one is a package of organic goji berries covered in dark chocolate. Have you ever tried goji berries? They are slightly sour and so fruity and healthy – even when they are covered in dark chocolate. ;-)
Gewürzkürbis stands for pumpkin spice – sounds christmasy, doesn’t it? But who ever said that you cannot eat something christmasy in spring! This vegan, organic and gluten free bliss ball consists of dates, almonds, pumpkin powder, rice syrup and spices like ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon. It’s packed with nutrients and it is delicious!
The third new brand in this month’s box is ichoc – and it is a vegan and organic brand, too. Like VIVANI, ichoc produces sustainable and fair, they don’t use plastic, but compostable foil. Instead of cow’s milk your choco cookie bar contains rice milk and it really tastes like a milk chocolate bar. There are small Oreo cookie pieces in this bar which are so chrunchy. I love this German chocolate bar!
As always, we are happy about your feedback on your candy from Germany via email@example.com, on Facebook, or Twitter, or Instagram
