Summer was absolutely great – no question! But what was really annoying was that we could not put much chocolate products in your German candy subscription box, because of the heat. Instead, you received many delicious treats that cannot melt, like gummies, cookies, savory products, etc. As you had to do without your German chocolate for such a long time, we decided to send a "chocolate only" box to your door this month. Every product is different, unique, surprising, and of course mouth-watering. But before I tell you more about your October Candy German subscription box, I am happy to announce that there will be two holiday boxes again – November and December. As you liked our German Christmas candy boxes so much in recent years, we want that you have the chance to indulge in our wide selection of festive delicacies again. So, if you are not a Candy German member yet, make sure to become one until November 10th! One last thing: Finally our new packaging material arrived. The white flakes you’ll find in your box consist of cornstarch and are 100% biodegradable – so you could even compost it. And now your October German candy subscription box!
The brand Sarotti is known as "die Kakao Schokolade" = the cocoa chocolate. It was invented in 1852 by the German candy company Stollwerck that is located in our hometown Cologne. A brand that convinces chocolate lovers for such a long time must find its way into your monthly candy subscription box from Germany – even for the second time. We sent Sarotti truffles before, but this time we have other sorts for you. Either you got the dark or the white version of the Sarotti Marc de Champagne truffles. As the name says, both contain alcohol, so don’t give the truffles to your kids. Marc de Champagne is a liquor which consists of special grapes. This liquor is an ingredient in both truffle sorts, the white and the dark one. Both have a crunchy chocolate shell. Once you bite through them you will reach the creamy inside of the truffles which has a sweet and not too intense alcohol taste. So so good – the white truffles are very creamy and melting in your mouth, the dark truffles contain 60% cocoa and have a very full dark chocolate flavor.
Many chocolate companies have a summer assortment each year which contains different chocolate bars that are only available during the summer months. As we could not send those treats during summer, we thought "why not send some summer sorts in October". The first one is a Lindt Excellence bar. Either you got the Cocos = coconut or the Stracciatella bar. Both are a white chocolate bar – smooth, melting, and delicious as Lindt chocolate always is. The bars are very thin and therefore very crunchy. The Cocos bar has coconut flakes in it, the Stracciatella bar dark chocolate chips. Indeed, the Stracciatella bar is reminiscent of stracciatella ice cream. I love to keep it in the refrigerator and enjoy it ice cold. The Cocos bar has a very intense coconut flavor. The coconut flakes are very crunchy and yummy. I love to put this bar in the refrigerator too.
The second summer chocolate bar is this Ritter Sport bar. Brombeer Joghurt is blackberry yoghurt. A fruity yoghurt cream in milk chocolate – tastes like heaven! The blackberry flavor is very intense. As soon as you put a piece of this bar in your mouth, you taste the blackberries immediately. A surprise, which you can’t see on the packaging, is the added rice crisps in the yoghurt cream that give this bar some extra crispiness. Love it!
The German candy company Trumpf is known for their aerated chocolate. I enjoy aerated chocolate for many years but never asked myself how it is produced. It is chocolate turned into a foam via the addition of gas bubbles and then cooled so that it becomes hard again. You can read more about this procedure here. Trumpf’s limited edition Aero bar has a bourbon vanilla foam inside. From the outside it is covered with milk chocolate. When you bite through this bar it is very crunchy and airy. I’m sure you know what I mean, if you have ever eaten aerated chocolate. The hard vanilla foam is very delicious, sweet and flavorful. In combination with the creamy milk chocolate it is really a gourmet taste. Trumpf is a brand by the German chocolate producer Ludwig Schokolade. It exists for more than 150 years.
This German candy is one of the most popular in Germany and one of the most popular in the Candy German subscription box. We received many many emails from you asking for more Toffifee. Here it comes. Toffifee is produced since 1973. Back then it was introduced to the market as an energy snack for business women – weird positioning, but okay… Today Toffifee is known for being the perfect family treat – everyone loves it, kids and grown-ups. I cannot imagine any Storck product that does not taste wonderful! On the package you can read: "Die Haselnuss in Caramel mit Nougatcreme und Schokolade". Mainly that is a description of this German candy. It says: The hazelnut in caramel with nougat cream and chocolate. Sounds awesome, doesn’t it? The soft and yummy caramel shell is filled harmonically with the most delicious ingredients. There is a whole hazelnut in the middle, surrounded by a smooth nougat cream. On the top there is a dot of dark chocolate icing. Those ingredients are the pure indulgence in combination. There are 15 pieces in your package, so there is enough for everyone. Enjoy it! By the way, it’s very easy to get the little treats out of the packaging. Just watch this.
I cannot count your emails asking for more kinder Schokolade. I absolutely understand you. kinder Schokolade is my all time favorite German chocolate. I’m sure many people all around the globe mention kinder Schokolade too when they are asked for their favorite German candy. The combination of the little bars is very simple. Milk cream is covered in milk chocolate. I said it many times before, often the most simple things are the best. I'm in love with kinder Schokolade, it is very rich and creamy, it melts in your mouth. There are ten individually wrapped bars in your package. Kinder means children, so it is chocolate for children – I'm still a child, I guess. ;)
Last but not least here comes a delicious, mouth-watering, wonderful Milka bar. It has three different cocoa fillings, a liquid one, a mousse one, and a crunchy one. The bar itself consists of yummy alpine Milka milk chocolate. All three fillings have a very intense cocoa flavor. My favorite is the crunchy filling, but the two others are almost as well. You have four chunks of every variety.
We hope we can satisfy your cravings for German chocolate with the October Candy German subscription box. If you want more, don’t forget to get your holiday Candy German subscription boxes – November and December. Ordering stop for the November box is November 10th, 23:59 GMT.
