Your first 2017 summer Candy German box is here! As we announced, we won’t put products in your monthly candy subscription box that can melt during summer. Instead of that, you will get a lot of gummies, cookies, cake treats, hard and chewy candies, and savory snacks. The May German candy box is very full packed. Be careful when you open it and don’t use a knife. You could damage the bag of the first treat which I will give you a description of now…
We always thought that peanut crisps, or flips as we call them, are an original American product. But since we googled a bit, we found out that they are usually not available in America and that they are an original German savory treat. You live and learn. Furthermore, lots of the Candy German subscription box members told us that they have been to Germany, fell in love with peanut flips, and desperately hope that they will be available in their country one day. So for us it was very clear that peanut flips will come in our first 2017 summer German candy subscription box. Actually, there are different producers for peanut flips in Germany. We decided for Funny-Frisch. First, Funny-Frisch is a very traditional German brand by the German snack producer Intersnack. Secondly, their flips come in a huge and heavy bag (250 gram), and they are delicious. If you like peanuts you will love the peanut flips. They have a very intense peanut flavor, the puffed flips are very crunchy, and you have to eat them one after another. It’s pure indulgence!
Another highlight in this month’s Candy German subscription box is this gummy treat. There is an adorable text on the back of the Katjes Wunderland bag. Here’s the translation: "Miracles keep on happening and dreams come true! Tatataaa: You are holding many little wonders in your hand. Glittering unicorns, enchanting fairies, and colorful rainbows which lead to our hearts: Welcome in Wonderland." This is so sweet, isn’t it?! The little unicorns, fairies, rainbows, hearts, and stars come in different fruity flavors. They are sprinkled with sour sugar and are so tasty. By the way, Katjes Wunderland is suitable for vegetarians, because it come without animal gelatine. I love Katjes Wunderland, you will love it too!
Prinzen Rolle is one of the most popular and most eaten cookie in Germany. A delicious cocoa cream is sandwiched between two crispy butter cookies. I love to eat Prinzen Rolle with a cup of coffee – I soak them in the coffee so that the butter cookie becomes soft and the filling melts – so good! There are six full size cookies in you package.
Basically, this German treat is a croissant with a nut-nougat filling. It’s a very simple treat by the German cake producer Kuchenmeister, and it’s so delicious. There are two Kinder Hörnchen in your monthly candy subscription box. The croissant is very soft and almost tastes like it is freshly baked. The nut-nougat filling reminds me a lot of Nutella. The combination of the soft pastry and the filling is wonderful!
Here comes your second savory product in your German candy subscription box and, as the flips, it is a peanut product. NicNacs by the German potato chips and snacks producer Lorenz are peanuts covered in a spicy and crunchy shell. So simple, so very good! The coating reminds me of a barbecue flavor, it’s very salty and kind of cheesy. It’s difficult to describe the flavor correctly, but what I can say is that the NicNacs are extraordinarily good. I have to eat the whole bag once it is open – yummy!
Fritt are chewy, soft, and fruity stripes produced by the German candy manufacturer Ludwig Schokolade. We sent Fritt before, but it’s a long time ago, so it’s time for more Fritt. This month they come in the flavor strawberry which is very delicious and mouth-watering. There are six individually wrapped stripes in your package. Each of them is subdivided in small chunks. I love to eat Fritt as a fruity snack for in between.
Do you like caramel? Then you will like Riesen Karamell by Storck. It’s a chewy caramel toffee. It is soft and has an intense and creamy caramel flavor. Perhaps you know the Storck Riesen Chocolate Caramel, they are very yummy too. But when you want the pure caramel taste, I recommend the Riesen Karamell we put in your German candy subscription box.
As always, we are happy about your feedback on your candy from Germany via email@example.com, on Facebook, or Twitter.
