Usually I really don’t like when summer is over, but there is one thing I do like about it: We can send chocolate in your Candy German subscription box again! This month you get a fully packed chocolate box – chocolate in all its variations, tastes, and textures. I know, you are waiting for this blogpost and your German candy box eagerly this month, because you missed your German chocolate. The long-wait is worth-it – the October box will satisfy your hunger for chocolate.
Dickmann’s have many different names in Germany, e. g. Schaumküsse = foam kisses or Schokoküsse = chocolate kisses or Schoko Strolche = chocolate thugs. No matter how they are called, they are always delicious and a very traditional German treat. They consist of a wafer topped with a sweet egg white foam covered in chocolate – dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate. In your package there are 24 foam kisses, 8 of every chocolate variation. Such a huge box, awesome, isn’t it? Thumbs up for Storck, the producer of this Dickmann's, it's really a delicious fun treat.
Yum – a bar of white Milka chocolate, so simple so good. The white chocolate melts in your mouth, it’s so creamy, sweet but not too sweet, as white chocolate often is. This bar is perfect for every white chocolate lover! Milka is always a guarantee for chocolate indulgence.
Schogetten is a product by the German candy manufacturer Ludwig Schokolade, one of Europe's most successful confectionary suppliers. The founder Leonhard Monheim invented his first chocolate under the name Trumpf in 1857. Trumpf chocolate is known very well in Germany until today. 1962 the Schogetten were introduced. Today there are many of different sorts, we sent some of them before. This month you either get Schogetten Trilogia Caramel or Fruit. What I like the most about Schogetten is that it is not a chocolate bar as we know it from other brands, the package is filled with small bite-sized chunks. And the Trilogia is even more special, because every chunk consists of three layers, milk chocolate, white chocolate, and a caramel or raspberry layer. The caramel layer is added by small caramel pieces, the raspberry layer by small raspberry pieces. Both chocolates are very creamy and rich. The raspberry sort is very fruity in smell and taste, the caramel sort has an intense caramel flavor. I love both!
Probably the most traditional product in this month’s Candy German subscription box is the Nussknacker = nutcracker bar. I can remember it being on supermarket shelves since always. It is a very simple bar but as so often happens the most simple things are the best. The nutcracker bar consists of milk chocolate added by whole hazelnuts. The smooth milk chocolate in combination with the crunchy hazelnuts is so so good and it’s a good snack for in between when you’re little hungry. Hazelnuts are very nutritional and you get a lot of them in this bar. I love it!
Definitely a fun German candy are those Erfrischungsstäbchen (refreshment sticks) by the former Belgian company De Beukelaer. In 1955 the founder's son Edouard De Beukelaer II. decided to move the company to Germany. It is very famous for its biscuits, but the Erfrischungsstäbchen are really something different. The perfect combination of a fruity liquid filling in an orange-lemon flavor and the crispy UTZ-certified chocolate coating is extraordinary good. I love to put the Erfrischungsstäbchen in the refrigerator and enjoy them ice-cold!
Prinzessin Feodora = princess Feodora is a premium brand for noble German chocolate and pralines. It came into being in 1910 and owes its name to the German Princess Feodora. Feodora chocolate is quite pricey, but every cent is worth it. We sent the Edelbitter Sahne bar = Superior Creamy Dark Chocolate bar before, and you let us know that you wanted more of it, so here it is. This German chocolate is rich and it melts in your mouth. Sometimes dark chocolate is quite dry or dusty, but because of the added cream this bar is really a gourmet taste.
No German chocolate box without a Ritter Sport bar. This ice cocoa cream bar is one of Ritter Sport’s summer bars. Obviously, as we could not send it during summer we sent it now. The creamy milk chocolate has a cocoa cream filling that is added by dark chocolate pieces. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Try it and you will love it!
As always, we are happy about your feedback on your candy from Germany via email@example.com, on Facebook, or Twitter, or Instagram
